Privacy policy — Systemful Backups

Systemful Backups is a personal tool operated by Panayiotis Kritiotis to back up his own Systemful application to his own Google Drive. It is not offered as a service to other users.
Google Drive access
The tool requests the drive.file permission. It creates a dedicated backup folder and uploads, lists, downloads and removes files created through this Google OAuth connection. It reads available storage quota to support backup setup. It does not request permission to browse unrelated existing Drive files.
Backup storage and use
Backups contain the operator’s Systemful database and recovery metadata. Database content, metadata and file and directory names are encrypted with rclone crypt before they are uploaded. Files are downloaded and decrypted privately to verify uploads or perform recovery. Google Drive hosts the encrypted files under the operator’s account.
Local snapshots and recovery files are kept on machines controlled by the operator. Google authorization credentials are stored in private configuration files outside the application and source repository. Recovery passwords are kept separately in the operator’s password manager.
Retention and sharing
The configured offsite retention is 30 completed daily backups and 12 completed monthly backups. Pruned files normally enter Google Drive’s trash and may continue to occupy storage until the operator removes them. No backup contents are sold or shared with other users. Google processes the storage and account information required to provide its Drive service under Google’s privacy policy.
Control and deletion
The operator can revoke this connection through Google Account settings. Revoking access stops future access by the tool but does not automatically delete existing backups. The operator can delete stored backups through Google Drive and remove local copies from his machines.
